Free Narcan For Oklahomans

In an effort to combat the opioid crisis, numerous initiatives have been launched to provide Narcan, a life-saving drug used to reverse an opioid overdose, at no cost in Oklahoma. There are several avenues through which one can obtain free Narcan.

At Good Guys Bail Bonds Oklahoma, we witness our fair share of people suffering from overdose and, unfortunately, we have lost our fair share of clients to opioids. For that reason we take advantage of these resources to stay prepared should a person overdose in our presence - or in our office. You should too!

We will provide some links at the end.

Firstly, through the Oklahoma State Department of Health, there is a statewide program aimed at distributing Narcan kits to residents, with a particular focus on those who are at a high risk of experiencing or witnessing an overdose. You can check their website for information about upcoming Narcan distribution events.

Secondly, many local health clinics and substance abuse treatment centers across the state also offer free Narcan. It's highly recommended to call ahead to confirm availability.

Lastly, the Harm Reduction Coalition, a national advocacy and capacity-building organization, offers free Narcan through its overdose prevention program. Their website provides a wealth of resources and information on how to access the program.

Remember, Narcan is a vital tool in the fight against the opioid crisis, but it is not a replacement for medical care. If someone is experiencing an overdose, always call 911 first before administering Narcan.

it's important to stay informed about the opioid crisis and how it affects our state. Become acquainted with your local resources so you can help save lives!

If you know someone struggling with addiction, there are many support services available in Oklahoma. This service is offered free of charge for individuals and families who are eligible for SoonerCare.
